Halal certification
The Halal certification of a Salimah product concerns the entire process: slaughter, production, processing and packaging of the product as well as its marketing.
The entire chain of these operations must be in strict compliance with Islamic Guidence. In order to respect the religious rites of our consumers, we have chosen a Halal Certifaction body who guarantees a production process in line with our values.
1 - Selection of raw materials
During production, only meat from our rigorously selected suppliers is accepted. (Audit carried out by our quality department). All our meat for the Halal range is Halal certified. It comes from animals slaughtered according to the Islamic rite.
We have total transparency with our suppliers. We have strict quality control, allowing us the total traceability of each SALIMAH recipe on all the ingredients present.
2 - Reception and storage of raw materials
The quality controls start with the reception of the Halal raw materials, which are given a lot number.
This lot number along with a yellow labels Mention “Halal” so all Halal products are stored together. This lot number will be
assigned to the product throughout production.
3 - Production
The Halal production controller always checks the condition
and cleanliness of:
• Machines
• Conveyors
• Bins
• Cold rooms
• As well as the entire circuit where the meat is likely to pass.
At the beginning and end of all our productions in our factory, the equipment is carefully cleaned by our cleaning service with an external company (strict requirement). Our Halal production controller ensures the compliance of this step.
4 - Packaging of stamped products and pallet sealing
Control of this step by our Halal production controller.
5 - Shipment of your order in your warehouse
Our Halal production controller and our quality department are at your disposal for the follow-up and the elaboration of Salimah products.
Quality

The assortment is therefore produced in the Belgian factory of Vlevy where high-qualitative products are being delivered, supported by our certified production unit. By striving to the highest possible food safety and quality standards, Vlevy is certified to IFS Higher Level and BRC-A.
